Pharaohs played an important role in Egyptian History. They ran the cities. They built huge monuments dedicated to themselves. They lived in huge castles and had hundreds of servants. When a single Pharaoh ruled over the entire Egypt he wore a crown that looked like a bowling pin with a holder. The Egyptians believed that everybody ( especially the pharaohs) enters the afterlife. The Pharaohs built huge tombs, often inside pyramids to be buried in. They were considered gods, and were worshipped.
